The local legal profession has been approched to provide pro-bono legal assistance that will assist South Australians in time of crisis or natural disaster. Voluntary practitioners are sought to register and be on call to provide legal asistance in the event of a State emergency.

The Legal Services Commission has a central office in Adelaide located at 159 Gawler Place, along with six offices in metropolitan and regional SA. The Commission also provides duty lawyers at most Magistrates Courts, the Youth Court and the Family Law Courts.

Your first step should be to contact the person or section concerned and provide details about your complaint. Our staff will make every effort to deal with your complaint straightaway.

If you are not satisfied after dealing with our staff please complete the online Complaints Form. Please provide as much information as possible which will help us resolve your complaint. To assist us please detail issues, the dates concerned and the people involved.

If you would like assistance to make a complaint about the Commission, please telephone our Client Relations Coordinator on 8111 5596, to arrange an appointment. The Client Relations Coordinator can provide advice and assistance in lodging appeals against refusals of aid, and help to identify other sources of assistance.
